rolloutofbedandgetthepuppyoutsideto
wee!Actually,theclothesareallunpacked,
it’salltheotherparaphernaliathatIbrought
homethatneedstogettoitsrightfulhome,
liketheicechestIborrowedandthehunttest
gearthatissittingjustinsidethefrontdoor,
ribbonstohangandtrophiesthatneedto
findaplacetobe.Notcomplainingabout
trophies,juststatingfacts.

2014nationalwasalongweekbutwe

coveredsomuch,Iamproudtosaywehad
anextraordinarytimeofit.Abouttwodozen
ofusmadeavisittotheSkycastle
Kennelsandsurvived
CardiacHill,followedby
thelargesthunt-test
entrywehaveeverhad,
alongwithoutstanding
entriesinobedience,rally
andagility.Conformation
numbersweredown,butI
honestlythinkthequality
wasup.Maybethathad
somethingtodowiththe
manywonderfulTop20dogs
thatwerepresentthisyear.
Inbetweenallthatwere
seminars,healthclinicsand
somehigh-spiritedfundraising.

Ourjuniorshowmenhadacompetition

toseewhocouldcollectthemostmoneyby
sellingoldissuesofSaberTailshighlighting
ZackHelmeronthecoverwinningBest
JunioratWestminster.Zackwaseven
askedforhissignatureonafewissues.
Thejuniorsraisedmorethan$500.Then
therewastheadvantageousabductionand
ransomofBeverlyChild’santiquebunny
mascot,Percy.Bev’sdeterminationand
yourdonationstosavePercyraised$758.
