TheagilitytrialswereheldonWednesday,May7,atthe

BellaVistaTrainingCenter.Thiswasalastminutechangeof
locationandscheduleaswelearnedjusttwoweeksbefore
theeventthatthesuperintendentwasunwillingtoprovide
mattingaspromised.Fortunately,analternatelocationwas
foundandtheagilityexhibitorswereveryreceptive,even
thoughthetrialshadtobeheldback-to-backonthesame
day.Ourjudge,LindaSyner,wasverycooperativeand
helpful.Eachoftheexhibitorsandmanyotherclub
memberssteppedupandhelpedwhereverneeded.Special
thankstoIngridaRobinson,NickReadingandShirley
Knipe,whohelpedoutalldayeventhoughtheydidnot
havedogsenteredinagility.

Therewere19dogscompetinfinagilityforatotalof

89runsfortheday.Therewere14qualifyingscoresinthe
regionaltrialand10atthenational,whichwasavery
respectablequalifyingrateforanybreed.Itwasinteresting
tonotethatallofthedogsrunninginagilityalsocompeted
inthehunt,andmorethanhalfwereconformation
champions.HighinTrialattheregionalwasCHPacar's
BaronVonRichtenhofen(Red),bredandownedbyPaul
andCaroleUrban,forhisruninMasterPreferredJumpers
