What activities do you do with your PBGV
Ali B is our beloved pet and that’s the extent of her “activities.” We introduced her to my mother who also lives in Alpine.
She fell in love with her as a puppy and ended up buying Ali’s sister about one month after we got her. There are now two
PBGVs living in Alpine, Texas!
What other animals have you owned?
We currently have four dogs. We have a Pembroke Corgi named Ranger,
a miniature dachshund name Astro, a rescue pound puppy named Teddy
and Ali. They all get along extremely well and get upset if they are sepa-
rated from one another for any reason. They have truly formed their own
little pack. Ali is not only the only girl we have in our ‘pack’ but she is
also extremely laid back and easy going. She is also very social, never met
a stranger and loves to flirt!
Do you find PBGVs to be different than
other dogs you’ve owned
Ali is just a sweetheart! She gets along with everyone and is extremely
perceptive. Ali is a very gentle, loving, caring dog. She always wants to
make sure everyone is ok and tries her best to take care of you or make you
laugh! She is also an aspiring chef - always the first to want to “help” with
the cooking!
Orlando Cluster Of Dog Shows &
AKC National Championships
PBGVs Descend on Florida Along with 4500 Other Dogs
Submitted by Tiffany Cannon
D
ecember is becoming synonymous with dog shows. Each year, the first or second week of December represents a
cluster of dog shows in Orlando, Florida that culminates with the AKC National Championship. This cluster of shows
has grown over the past few years to be the biggest show in the United States in terms of overall entries. For those of
us who attend or participate, it represents a week of fun with friends from all over the world, a chance to see dogs we
normally only see in advertising, an opportunity to watch some incredible competitions and a chance to do some seri-
ous shopping before the holidays! Even if you are absolutely not
interested in dog shows…this is one worthy of consideration!
I
n my mind, and having been to both of the “BIG” shows, I com-
pare this cluster with Westminster. This might not be the best
comparison, but they both represent well-known, nationally tele-
vised shows. In a word, Westminster is incredible…but it is also
incredibly crowded! Moving from ring to ring feels very much
like doing an impression of a salmon swimming upstream. The
