playing catch up.  I’m happy to say that Kansas just finished her Championship, so she is now CH Jimeny Avanti Over the

Rainbow to Mirepoix.

How did you find out about PBGVs?

I saw my first PBGV in 1989 with Debs Perrott at a show in Oakland, California, and fell madly in love, until I read the

“good voice, freely used” part of the standard.  When I later went to the national in St Louis and didn’t hear a peep until the

singing at the end of the day, I kicked myself for waiting all those years, and bought a puppy then and there!

What other animals have you owned?

I started with American cockers, but do not like the direction they have gone.  I have an English cocker and love the breed

and the people with the breed.  I have a Great Pyrenees, and might have done more with the breed had I started earlier.  My

Tasse is a lovely dog with a wonderful temperament who charms everyone she meets.  My husband and I also have cats,

both rescue feral and a purebred Siamese.  Right now I have 3 peebs, the Engie, the Pyr, and 4 cats.  Everyone gets along

pretty well, except when the girls go into season.  Then all bets are off.

Do you find PBGVs to be different than other dogs you’ve owned

Yes.  they are extremely sweet.but not often cuddlers.  They have a reasoning ability, that means you have to be careful

when training, or they will misinterpret the signals and you’re stuck.  I most appreciate how sweet and independent they

are.

Traci Adame

Tell us about yourself...

We are Traci, Alonso and Alec Adame from Big Spring, Texas.  Big Spring

sits on a high plateau between two mountain ranges in extreme Western

Texas near Big Bend National Park and the border of Mexico.  It is a beau-

tiful desert setting but at 4500 feet above sea level, we also get snow in the

winter.

How Did You Find Out About PBGVs

We only have one PBGV...4 year old Ali B (Always Pimm’s Number One)

who we got from Tiffany and Bill Cannon near Houston, Texas in Decem-

ber 2012.  Texas is a huge state and we drove 8 hours each direction one

weekend to pick up our new bundle of joy.  We saw our first PBGV while

watching the National Dog Show on Thanksgiving Day.  We fell in love

with the breed, started researching and contacting “local” breeders.  It took

off from there and we had Ali a short time later.
