Winter 2016  Saber Tails 13

Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen Club of America

4th Annual PBGVCA Top 20

The Top-20 Competition offers all who attend a chance to view the very best PBGV's in the country based on their com-

petitive standings in breed points from 2016. Using a point system, each dog is evaluated by three judges according

to how closely it conforms to the breed standard. Names of the qualifiers will be posted on

PBGVCA’s website (www.pbgv.org) when they are available.

The Top 20 will be held in conjunction with the Night of Celebration event on Friday evening,

March 31st which includes the Parade of Crowns and 30th Anniversary of the PBGV National.

You must have a ticket to attend. This is a $30 ticketed event which includes a dinner buffet,

table favor, catalog, cash bar and a room full of fun. Suggested attire for the evening is very

festive or cocktail. A raffle will be held with proceeds going to the Top 20. The Top 20 rules

and guidelines are available on the club web site. For more information please contact: Sue

Auction Items – We NEED them!

Janice Hayes is the Auction Chair for our 2017 National. Both the on-line auction and Annual

Banquet Auction needs YOUR auction items. The on-line auction will go up prior to the specialty.

Watch for the PBGV Web blast for details. The popular live auction will be held at the Annual Ban-

quet on Saturday, April 1st.

We need all types of auction items including PBGV items (which are always popular.) Items do

not have to be dog related. Can you help us with some new auction ideas - how about a vacation

to your wonderful beach or mountain retreat?!? Or…a nice piece of jewelry or art. Assisting Janice (jhyes@aol.com) is

Tammy Hensley (mainsailgrandvoile@gmail.com.) Let’s help these ladies get the auction off to a great start by making a

donation. Contact them to let them know what YOU will donate. If you are bringing items to the National please tape to
the item donor’s name, description/history of item and the estimated value.
