Parade of Crowns

March 31, 2017

6 p.m.

Rules

1)  There are no Crown “Standards” except crowns MUST be homemade (i.e. crafted with your hands – no purchased

crowns).

2)  You can groom and decorate your crown – no rules about over grooming, over blinging, or being too cheesy or tacky.

Being “tasteful” might get you disqualified.

3)  PBGVs are expected to parade in every pack – extra points if they parade in a crown.

4)  If you come to the National without a PBGV - parade with a picture of your PBGV or a stuffed dog. Extra points will

apply if PBGV in the picture or stuffed dog has a crown.

5)  Men and Professional Handlers may participate but only if they are outfitted in a Crown - handmade of course!

6)  YES!  There will be judges for the Parade of Crowns. Don’t worry,   you won’t know any of them…well you may “know”

one or two but you won’t really “know” them.

7)  Of course there will be PRIZES. The prizes might be desirable and some may think they are VERY desirable.

8)  There is no entry fee for the Parade of Crowns but you must purchase a ticket to the Night of Celebration event to par-

ticipate. That $30 ticket includes Parade of Crowns, Top 20, 30th National Celebration, dinner buffet, table favor, catalog

and a room full of fun. Suggested attire for the evening is very festive or cocktail.

9)  Tickets for the Night of Celebration can be paid online or by mailing a check made payable to PBGVCA to the Trea-

surer, Gloria Swaine, PO Box 26716, Phoenix, AZ  85068. Write in the memo line “Night of Celebration.”

10)  Entry Deadline is March 1, 2017. Send an e-mail with your pack participants to Joan Burke at jrburke111@gmail.com.

Please list every two and four legged breathing thing that is walking in your pack so they can be announced properly.

FULL DISCLOSURE: Event and prizes are sponsored by ZZTuX, Flirt Girl and Rockin’ Rowdy of the famous Stone House Hounds

Howlers. They will walk for exhibition only and will not be eligible for prizes. Judges could be personal friends of the Stone

House Hounds Howlers, their Dog Show Roadie or the 2017 National Show Chair. This is a fun event and should NOT be taken

too seriously. This is not a dog show – it is a Parade of Crowns. You will be judged solely on your homemade crown and of

course your beauty pageant gait - stilettos and evening gowns might get you extra points!!!
